"Good things come to those who wait, I’ll stake my claim, this is my gate. It’s not too late to set a date, Let it rain, this is my fate..."

Excerpt from the song of Francis M as it continued to play on my mind. Is that what you called "Last song syndrome"? The song is about someone who patiently wait for something good to happen. (maybe)

They always say there is a joy in waiting. Truly I say there is, specially for those people who have patience. I am talking about BIG patience. According to Mr. Webster, " - Patience is the act or power of calmly or contentedly waiting for something due or hoped for; forbearance."

The Bible affirms patience as an active virtue. However, we often misunderstood patience as a submission or resignation to fate...but it is not. Patience is an active expectation based on faith that involves every aspect of our lives.

While in waiting, we must not fail to consider God's larger plan for each of us so that many of the things we hope and pray for aren't selfish or unreasonable. As I read the scripture on Lam 3:25-26; I was amazed that the God of all history also works in our individual lives. He offers everyone a personal relationship, appearing to us in the details of life.

Let's wait silently so that we don't miss seeing God at work! HE provides questions and answers to haul, to reach out, and calm us. Try to observe it in the middle of a busy day or when we are away from everyone and everything. By then you will feel that God's presence quietly bringing sustenance to our soul.

Some say, learning to wait silently is at the heart of our faith heritage. The scriptures from Lamentations are illustrated by the struggling faithful like Noah, Elijah, Peter, Mary, and many others. With the same struggle, they challenge me to "wait silently" in my relationship with God. I guess there is a joy in waiting after all!

Thanks & Lord bless us all! :)

"The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD."

-Lamentations 3:25-26
